General Guidelines

RISHS International School is a leading CBSE school which is a path way to excellence in education and holistic education.  At RISHS International School admissions are open from December to May of every academic year. Admission is open to Kindergarten to Grade 9 children of the local and international community regardless of race , gender , religion, language or origin.

Refund Policy

In case if a parent withdraws / cancels admission for any reason whatsoever the fee paid will not be refunded.

Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Inclusive Education

The Institution provides inclusive education for students with special educational needs. The school grants admission only to students the school can manage and take care . It is imperative that those children the school cannot manage and take care cannot be admitted inside as the institution doesn’t have an exclusive special education programme. The school has the provision of elevators and inclined planes to facilitate differently-abled students.

International Students / NRIs

The school follows CBSE curriculum and the school welcomes all initiatives academic / administrative recommended by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Admissions are  granted only if the parent / guardian of the student resides in Chennai , India.

Admission Procedure

Step 1 :    Meeting the admission counsellor

                The admission counsellor will be available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm . The  parent and the candidate have to meet the admission counsellor.

                  The admission counsellor will give a briefing on the school policy and a tour of the school campus and the features inside.

Step 2 :   Procuring the application form and the prospectus.

                  The application and prospectus should be procured at the respective counter by paying the non-refundable registration fee.

Step 3 :   Registering for the course

                The filled – in application form along with the checklist of the documents submitted should be handover to the officer concerned.

Step 4 :   Appearing for the concept test

                  The candidate appears for a concept test to test the competency of the student in english , math and tamil or hindi .

Step 5 :   Interview with the Principal

                  The admission officer submits the scores and the feedback from the panel of evaluators to the head of the institution.

                  The Principal interacts with the student seeking admission and the parents.

Step 6 : Confirmation of admission

                  The admission confirmation is informed via an email or phone call to the parent by the admission department.

Supporting Documents

  • Photocopy of the birth certificate.
  • Transfer certificate (TC) from the school last attended.
  • Photocopy of the previous year scholastic achievement records of the preceding class.
  • Parent / Local guardian proof of identity and address .
  • Parent employment ID/ business Card.
  • 5 Passport size photograph.
  • 5 Stamp size.
  • Community certificate.
  • Photocopy of the valid passport (overseas/ NRI students).
  • Medical Certificate from an authorized medical practitioner for students with acute/chronic ailment /allergies/ special needs (if any).
  • Co-scholastic credentials (if any).

Note :

Photocopies of all the supporting documents are required at the time of admission.

Original supporting documents  should be made available upon request for verification.
